Ring sawing is a quick and efficient way to cut into reinforced concrete or masonry to a depth of 265 mm.
The ring saw is a handheld piece of equipment that can be used almost anywhere, and it comes into its own in confined spaces. It runs on either a petrol motor or an electric three-phase power pack, so it works just as well inside a building as it does out in the open.
What makes a ring saw different from a standard quick-cut is the drive. The blade is driven on its outer rim rather than through a centre arbor, which roughly doubles the depth of cut for the same blade diameter, and lets it cut close in to a corner.
