Road Sawing
Diesel floor sawing cuts through reinforced concrete and asphalt, quickly and to depth, on roads, hardstands and industrial floors.
Our heavy-duty road sawing machinery is quick, efficient and cuts up to 400 mm deep. The saw runs on its own weight and traction, which keeps the cut line dead straight over long runs, something you'll never get from a hand-held saw.
Floor sawing can be used internally or externally across a wide range of requirements:
- Highways and road surfaces
- Drainage ducts and service trenches
- Removing or altering reinforced concrete slabs
- Machine bases
- Fuel stations and forecourts
- Large or small openings in slabs on ground
Clean removal, not demolition
Sawing a slab into liftable panels before removal beats breaking it up in almost every way. The cut faces are square, the remaining slab isn't damaged along the edge, the noise and vibration are a fraction of a hammer, and the spoil comes out in tidy pieces that load straight onto a truck.
Where an opening needs to be cut in the middle of an existing slab, we saw the perimeter, core the corners so nothing over-cuts, and lift the panel out clean.
Traffic, wet weather and night work
Road work rarely happens at a convenient hour. We work nights and weekends where traffic management requires it, and we're set up for wet cutting with slurry containment so the runoff doesn't end up in a stormwater pit.

Frequently asked questions
How deep can a road saw cut?
Up to 400 mm. Beyond that we'd usually saw from both faces where possible, or look at wire sawing for very thick sections.
Can you cut asphalt as well as concrete?
Yes. Different blade specification, same machine. We regularly saw asphalt for service trenches, pavement repairs and road widening.
Do you do night and weekend road work?
Yes. Road and carpark work often has to happen outside trading or traffic hours, so we work nights and weekends by arrangement. You'll need traffic management in place where the works affect a live road.
What happens to the slurry?
We cut wet and contain the runoff so it doesn't reach a stormwater pit. On road jobs that usually means vacuuming as we go and disposing of the slurry properly.
